Regional Celebration Of Women In Computing Conference

...Within a 2-3 hour drive from your school!

Exciting News: We (Murray State University Department of Computer Science and Information Systems) have received funding for a Regional Celebration of Women in Computing. (This proposal for NSF’s Broadening Participation in Computing Alliance was approved in conjunction with ACM-W, Anita Borg Institute and National Center of Women in Computing.) The cost including hotel rooms and meals at the conference will be covered. There will be a small registration fee (probably $30 for non-ACM members – includes ACM membership & T-shirt and $10 for ACM members – includes T-shirt). We will try to get some outside funding for scholarships to cover registration for deserving students. Take a look at Regional Celebration last year in Indiana!

Purpose of conference: To provide a low cost, regionally-tailored, small conference for women in computing who do not have opportunity to attend major conferences such as the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing.

Date/Conference Site:  Friday, Feb 26 4:00 p.m. – Saturday, Feb 27 2:30 p.m.  Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

Invitation extended to:  Women in Computing from universities / colleges within an approximate 2-3 hour drive of Murray State University (see list below)
