Commonwealth Honors Academy

Commonwealth Honors Academy (CHA)
This is a little-known opportunity that will pay your dorm bill for all four years. The catch is that you must apply and be selected for the CHA during your Junior year in High School. This is similar to the Governor's Scholars Program offered by the state of Kentucky for High School students (but better!).

It is an intensive three-week in-residence program that will result in six hours' credit that could count towards your graduation. PLUS, you have the option of getting six more hours' credit by taking Murray State classes in your senior year in high school.

Thus there is the potential of starting your freshman year with 12 hours' credit and free housing. AND... there is no cost to students except for personal articles, laundry, snacks, and incidental expenses. What a deal!

For more information visit Commonwealth Honors Academy. Application cutoff is usually March 1.
