| Phone: 270-809-3037 si.chen@murraystate.edu » Visit website Dr Si Chen received her bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Donghua University (China) and her doctoral degree in Operations Management/Management Science from Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. She joined the faculty of the College of Business & Public Affairs, Murray State University in 2007. Her research has a strong focus on industry-relevant problems, in particular, problems in the areas of logistics and transportation, network planning and design, and supply chain management. She was awarded the Abraham Goluh Memorial Dissertation Proposal Prize for her dissertation research. Prior to joining Murray State she worked with the Operations Research Group at United Parcel Service (UPS) on the Probabilistic Arc Routing Problem. The project is considered a great success by the company and has been selected for presentation at the annual meeting of the Institution for Operations Research and the Management Science (INFORMS).
